This incredible bassinet made from Barkcloth* is a bassinet with a story.

"A dream comes true"

For years, we wanted to have a bassinet made of this exceptional material. But also we wanted it to be produced locally ánd fair. Hussh teamed up with the Children of Uganda Foundation to start this adventure up in the district of Kibinge, Uganda. Together with the artist Ivan Yakuze we designed the Ubuntu bassinet. 

The name Ubuntu (Nguni language) is translated as "humanity" but also interpreted as: "I am because you are". The Ubuntu-symbol sewn on the bassinet illustrates the three related individuals, such as parents and their child. Fitting our products and our philosophy perfectly. 

These bassinets are made in small numbers by hand in Uganda, so we will only have limited numbers in stock. It's suspended like a tent between the ropes. The entrance is at the front: you open the flaps and fold them out, or close them to create a safe and private place to sleep.

If your baby likes to be rocked, this motor offers relief. It frees you from time spent throughout the day ánd night rocking your baby or the baby bassinet yourself. The motor does the rocking, and you'll have your hands free to do other things while the baby sleeps calmly and deeply.

You can adjust the tempo ánd timer (up to 3 hours) to fit your baby's needs and routines.

Note: it can be used until your baby weighs 9 kg (19 lb)

The motor is not suitable for our Twin bassinet.
